But there are many nutritious and great tasting foods that are almost impossible to chew or are not palatable raw to most people. Brown rice, barley, eggs and beans come to mind.

So, cook them as lightly as possible.  Try steaming, stir fry (without oil or with canola oil, boiling, poaching, etc. But only enough to soften them up and/or bring out the taste.</description>
